Kanda apparently didn't think the situation was embarrassing in any way, though. He tended to doze off when he was bored regardless of the place he was in anyway, so he couldn't really judge someone else for having a break. So he just calmly waited until the woman looked awake enough to talk to.
"You invited me," he reminded bitterly, and that was mostly true; back home he'd usually end up attending those gatherings he hated just because it was something like 'supposed to'. And there was food. Home made meals were always better than whatever the Manor would throw up and Kanda himself was pretty fuckterrible in the kitchen.
He casually looked over the leftovers and a bit hesitantly picked up a few pieces of radish.
