Lucy took that as her cue to start eating and tasted her first bite of Jack's cooking. She savoured it, closer her eyes in contentment.
"Oh that's wonderful." she said, "Charming, handsome, and a good cook!"

Honestly, she couldn't tell if Jack's cooking was anything exceptional, or if she was just overwhelmed with grattitude to be eating something that wasn't salad. She'd been practically starved this past year to keep her looking attractive.
