Ugly does not exist - only varying degree's of beauty
Character Names: Leonardo Da Vinci, Lucy Saxon, and anyone else (eventually)
When: Tuesday evening of 'Writers block'
Location: In teh garden~
Summary: Leonardo asked Lucy to model for him, so they meet in the garden and he paints her~
Rating: U - this is Leo painting. I doubt the four horsemen will join in
Warnings: Koala's will pee on you if you hold them.
Leonardo had been anticipating this meeting with Lucy ever since they'd first parted ways. He found her to be a truly beautiful woman; a natural grace and elegance that he longed to capture in the only way he knew how. Through art. So, about 20 minutes before she was due to meet him, Leonardo had gone outside, chosen a tree for his model to sit under, and set up his easel and paints. The early evening sun was stunning against the pastel canvas of sky - a perfect setting for what he hoped would be a masterpiece. He hadn't painted seriously for months now, and now that the oppotunity had arisen, he was itching to get started
((OOC: If anyone wants to join in, talk to Leo while he's painting, or approach him after it's finished, that's totally cool - just specify the point where your character's appearing~♥)).

She smiled as she approached the artist, and held out a bottle of wine and two glasses as she drew nearer.
"Good evening, signore. I brought this, art can be such thirsty work."
no subject
Leonardo happily took the bottle and the glasses from her, reading the bottles label as he set the glasses down on the small, fold up table next to his easel and canvas. He smiled broadly, obviously pleased in her selection of wine.
"An excellent choice Signora, grazie. You look lovely by the way; that's a beautiful dress, very complimenting"

Leonardo demonstrated his point by gesturing to the tree infront of them, and the idillic scene beyond that.
"Now, did you want to do this in two parts, or have it finished today? I can do either easily, but I don't know if the weather will be this fair this time tomorrow"
no subject
"I have nothing better to do with my time, and I'd hate to interrupt you mid flow, so I'm perfectly happy to get it all done this evening if that's what you want." she replied, "And this is a beautiful setting, I can already tell you're a wonderful artist just from your eye for this."
Lucy was quite excited about this now. The very fact Leonardo had asked her to model for him had made her feel so very flattered, and there was something undeniably special about having someone paint you.
no subject
"Grazie - I appreciate that~ Now! If you would go under the tree, just over there, I want you to make yourself comfortable; this will take a few hours, so please do not pose in a way that will be discomforting"
He had already chosen the main pallet of colours, although the fact that she was wearing a black dress had thrown him off - in the best way possible. It added a certain..something to the piece. After all, he was used to detailing rich, intricately coloured clothing, so to have something so elegant and yet so simple was a welcome change.

"Is this alright?" she asked, looking up, "You can move me however you like."
no subject
With his usual jovial smile, Leonardo picked up his paintbrush, and started to mix the paint absently.
"So, what did you want to talk about signora?"
no subject
no subject
"That sounds like an excellent plan. And as it happens, there has been something that's been on my mind. When we first met, you described standing on the edge of existence..what did you mean?"
no subject
"My husband is a Time Lord, he can travel in space and time. He's a being from a different planet entirely.
After we were married he took me in a time machine to the end of the universe, over a trillion years into the future, on the brink of the end of everything.
I saw the very last survivors, what was left of the human race, and I watched them screaming and dying. Most fo the planets were gone, the stars had blinked out, and there was just this... darkness. It was so final..."
Lucy got a little lost in the story, recalling her memories, the horrors that she'd seen, and her words faded on her lips, her eyes staring into nothing.

He looked apologetic when he next spoke.
"Mi dispiace signora..I did not mean to upset you.."
no subject
"Oh no, don't be silly. I'm fine. Just got a little lost in thought there, daydreaming, that's all."
Lucy would never be able to wipe those horrible images from her mind, forget the screams as she watched, powerless as people ran, burning. But being here, away from her husband and away from the Toclafane, the mutated remnants of all that was left of the future human race, away from all that Lucy could pretend things were alright, she could be normal and pretend the whole year had been a bad nightmare.
She forced herself to relax and gave Leonardo a big smile to show him she was alright.

"Alright, I'm glad - but, just to be sure, I won't bring it up again"
Despite the small amount of time that had passed, he had already made quite a dent in the portrait; he had a good feeling about this one...

Lucy wasn't quite sure if she was doing a good enough job, she was eager to please.
She was, however, glad she had picked such a comfortable position.
"So tell me, signore, are you married?"
no subject
Said with a chuckle to his tone, Leonardo couldn't help but turn his smile into a playfully-wicked smirk when she asked after his marital status.
"Aah, not yet Signora. I would love to be, one day though. Find that one person to be with forever. Il mio unico amore *My one love..But, I do not think it will happen"
He sighed, his expression tinged with a little sadness. He knew marriage would never be an option for him, especially not with the person he wanted. But that was fine. He had his art, his inventions...he could be happy, just as was.

"You're very kind, Signora. As it happens, however, women do not serve as much of a distraction for me.."
In a way, he hoped she would understand what he was hinting at. He had never told anyone about his sexual preferences, although his name had been dragged through mud during his trial the previous year. Since then, he had been far too scared to even hint at it, preferring to bury himself in his work and lay low. But, perhaps here it was safe to let people know? After all, this wasn't renaissance Italy - there were people here from all walks of life.

"Oh, I see!" she exclaimed, grinning. "Of course. That would make perfect sense."
She decided it was true what they said about all the good ones...
She'd often wondered if her own husband weren't that way incline, he had an unhealthy obsession with the Doctor... Even to the point where he'd sneak out of bed at ridiculous-o'clock in the morning to check on him.
Best not to dwell on that behaviour.
Lucy shrugged one should and her smile softened, "It's nothing to be embarassed about."
no subject
"In my time, it is. Of course, I know some of the most open minded people in all of Italia..but, more often then not, they are the same as me in that respect. Besides, it is still against the law"
no subject
Lucy thought how terrible it must be to live in such a closed minded age. She new that the society she'd been brought up in, amongst aristocrats, royalty, and MPs, had been oppressive enough, but at least she knew there was a world out there which was so much more bohemian, and in her earlier life she'd escaped to it on many occassions. But poor Leonardo was less lucky.
no subject
"Grazie, Signora...your kind words mean a lot to me"
Leonardo could live with his era - after all, it was home to him, narrow-mindedness or not. The only real problem, or rather, fear that he had, was that he would never be able to tell Ezio his secret. He would be content if he only told him part of it, but living in a world like the one Lucy described? It sounded like heaven to the painter.

"How is it looking so far?"
no subject
"Not bad, you must have been really concentrating to get all those details like that. I'm impressed!"
no subject
"Grazie~! I'm sure this will be one of my better works~ Of course, half the obstacle is getting a model as cooperative and beautiful as this one, but, I'm glad you like it!"

Goku smiled a little, standing up straight as he clasped his hands together behind his head.
"But I bet she's gotta be real bored just sitting still like that for so long. I'd get all fidgety after a while... maybe if I had a snack or something."
no subject
Leonardo smiled at what would appear to be an inside joke of some kind, although whether it was between him and Lucy or someone not present wasn't clear.

As much as I love to be rude, have any of you seen a rabbit around here recently?
no subject
No, I can't say I have I'm afraid
no subject
You smell like dust...
[She sneezed as if to make her point, still padding around him each time her body knocking the easel a little more.]
no subject
I do? Well I apologise-
[When the animal bumps the easel again, something very rare happened; Leonardo frowned]
Please, stop that will you?
IM SORRY SHES SUCH A BITCH
[She whips her tail back and forth, knocking the easel over completely.]
dshfyiyvhdfiu T_T
Hey-!
[Luckily, the canvas somehow landed face up, and therefore recieved no damage. Snatching it up, Leonardo apologised to Lucy, and scowled at Zira]
I have told you what you want to know, so please, move on
i still love you
What's the matter boy? Upset over a little accident?

[He tried to keep his tone light, although being circled was making him a little nervous]
Re: \o/
[She continues to circle, her voice barely above a whisper]
