Character Names: Gaara
sandcarnage, Gokudera Hayato
killer_melon, Ryohei Sasagawa
lionpunchinist, Temari
suna_bitch & Black Jack
scarsnscalpels
When: June 17th
Location: The Forest
Summary: Revenge seeking goes badly when Gokudera faces off against Gaara
Ratings: PG-13, R?
Warnings: Violence. Lots of violence.
Status: CLOSED
After hearing about the "magician" the idiot girl had mentioned a few days ago, Gaara's goals had undergone a subtle, but dramatic shift. No longer was he seeking the same, aimless sort of violent games, now he wanted retribution. He would find the magician responsible for the indignity he had been put through the previous week. He would make it regret ever being born.
The disappearance of the Manor, of course, made it much more difficult to track any particular person down, which meant for now Gaara would have to be patient. Sending his chakra to his feet, he hung upside down from a tree. With his eyes closed to block out the surrounding wildlife, he concentrated on finding any traces of chakra in this world. A magician skilled enough to use a transforming jutsu strong enough to last an entire week must not be a magician at all, but a skilled genjutsu user. There would be hell to pay when Gaara located it.

"M'fourteen... I'm... from Sicily.... and I dun like kids... What else d'you want t'know?"

Chuckling at his words, she pushed his hair back. He didn't like kids and one just crippled him...if he didn't like kids before, he'd surely hate them now. "What's your world like? Is there anything interesting from your home, a landmark perhaps?" Anything to keep him talking.

At last, when he spoke to her, Black Jack actually made eye contact, his tone serious and sincere. However, he could only do his best for the teenager. If he died, well...that would be unfortunate. But he wouldn't be the first person to die who didn't deserve it. It was a good bet that, should that happen, he would be back come Monday regardless..
As the minutes ticked by slowly but surely, Black Jack listened to Dera as he worked, his hands working the scalpels like an artist with a brush.

Gokudera had to pause for a moment... talking so much was tiring. He relaxed and let himself take a few breaths, focusing on Temari. She was nicer then he gave her credit for when they first met. He didn't really feel he deserved it, but he appreciated it all the same. He was just glad that he wasn't alone through all of this. And she was nice and warm...
"Never.... been so close t'anybody b'fore... s'kinda nice..."

Had it been almost anyone else, she'd have told them to suck it up. She couldn't help but feel responsible though. As his sister, Gaara was technically her responsibility...she should have been faster, if she hadn't have hesitated then he may still have his leg.
"You know...I haven't either. Aside from certain family members, I don't let anyone get this close. Guess this is a first for both of us."

He still didn't know the young lady's name, but he figured he could get that once Gokudera was taken care of. Pausing the surgery momentarily, Black Jack finds Dera's wrist, and checks his pulse against his watch. It was slow..not dangerously, not yet..but he was far too close to the edge for the Doctor's liking.
"Come on kid..just a few more minutes.."

Hayato doesn't seem to be fond of his arm being pulled out from the warm jacket. He weakly tries to tug it back in, but fails, and when the doctor lets it go it simply falls lifelessly by his side.

Scrounging for more questions, she hit the subject she wanted so dearly to avoid. Family. It was always a sore subject with her, but maybe it'd wake him up a bit more. "How many family members do you have?"
no subject
"It'll be up to him after this; how badly he wants to recover. If we had the Manor back, then I would be able to guaruntee his saftey."
Going through the pockets of his coat, Black Jack found some antiseptic and gauze, bandages and the like. However, with the severity of Gokudera's wound, he didn't have enough antiseptic. Dammit, he thought to himself. Well, it's better than nothing..
"You can tell him it's nearly over if you want" He said to Temari as he worked on cleaning and dressing the leg (or what remained of it)

"Two. N'they both suck. M'half-sister n'my papa... they can both go fuck'm selves n'die. Make the world a damn better place."
no subject
"I can sympathize. Family can be a pain and they're generally unneeded, but surely there's at least one person in your family that you like." Even with her fucked up family she had love for her siblings, they just didn't show it like most.
Almost over...he was almost in the clear. He just had to hold on a little longer.
"You're almost done, you just have to stay with me a little while longer, okay?"

Tying the last of the dressing off, Black Jack collected his tools (with no idea how he was going to clean them properly) and got to his feet. Looking at Temari, he glanced from her to Gokudera before speaking.
"Alright. I'll check on him every so often, but I'm leaving him with you. Try and keep him warm, and any clean water and food you find give to him. I'll come back to change his dressings when needed"
With that, he went to walk away, but paused, and turned back.
"You never told me your name"

"My mother. She... taught me how to play the piano... when I was little.."
no subject
Glancing up briefly when Black Jack turned back to her, she offered him a small grin. He'd saved her sparring partner and put up with her sour attitude, it was the least she could do for him. "Temari~. And thank you again for doing this for him..."
Ah...so he was a musician of sorts. It wasn't a ninja, but it could still be considered a respected position. "I'm glad you can remember yours...if you can remember anyone, it should be someone as caring as your mother..."
no subject
"Don't mention it"
And with that, he continued on his way, not really heading anywhere in particular..probably the lake to rinse his surgical instruments..but that prospect hardly filled him with glee.

Hayato leans his head against Temari, just oddly relaxed. He still felt weak and heavy... but there wasn't pain... couldn't really feel much actually... HE just... didn't feel any reason to move for the time being. He was the closest thing he's been to comfortable in since the whole ordeal started...
"T'mari.... s'it fixed yet?"
