(no subject)

Character Names: Hakuba Saguru ([livejournal.com profile] im_in_ur_exit), Kuroba Kaito ([livejournal.com profile] nofishplz) Aoko Nakamori ([livejournal.com profile] abluechild), Takami Yoh ([livejournal.com profile] a_damned_liar)
When: Backdated to Monday, right after arriving in Paris
Location: sixteenth district
Summary: All three boys go to get Aoko. Chaos and jealousy ensues.
Ratings: um... PG13? Just because Yoh is there :|a
Warnings: ....Yoh? Jealous boys and oblivious girl.

Aoko had finished talking to Yoh about the same time Kaito had texted her back-so she texted him back and stared at the blackberry curiously. Were they really all three going to come find her? She had assumed only one would come find her after that she'd tell the others someone else was on their way and they wouldn't have to worry. She expected it to end at that, not with 'I'm coming anyway.' Wasn't that... counter productive? Oh well, she stored the device in her pocket and sat down on the ground by her sign to wait it out. Boys were strange.

...Then a new thought hit her. Would Kaito get along with Yoh? She wasn't too worried about Hakuba, he seemed to capable of minding his manners but Kaito liked to push buttons. And she knew from experience Kaito and Hakuba didn't get along... maybe this wasn't such a good idea.

Checking his blackberry in the cab ride had been ... well, half a matter of a fidget to avoid paying too much attention to the faceless driver.

It had the small benefit that he did know that there would be company en route when he arrived.

The cab left in a merciful hurry after he got out, spotting Aoko easily; he walked over, holding up the blackberry before putting it in his pocket. "I take it we have company coming?"

He chuckled, with a small shrug. "I'm sure they just wanted to help; after all, it's not like any of us have anything of pressing life or death importance to do in favor of helping out a friend." And he was all for waiting, even if part of it was to get a good look at this Yoh.

"Not at all; It'd be nice to get to meet him." Absolutely not going to be protectively studying the other person that's apparently interested in Aoko. Not at all. "Perhaps we can actually manage to have a slightly less chaotic day out for once." Not like he couldn't admit some fault for the squabbles with Kaito - even if Kaito did make it entirely too easy...

[identity profile] a-damned-liar.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Yoh did not come by cab, he said he would run and he did. He saw Aoko and Hakuba from a distance and felt the jealousy rise in his stomach. Once he was within shouting distance he called out to here. "Aoko!" he waved to get her attention. "Sorry, I came as fast as I could."

"Pleased to meet you." Hakuba lapsed into the more Japanese bow - he'd caught the name, and was used to culture-juggling. "I hope I'm not a bother - I've lived in Paris before, so it's not hard to help when someone's lost." He wasn't about to pull an attitude with an unknown person, particularly not around Aoko, and it'd make it harder to get a better idea what'd just happened to the already chaotic polygon, anyway.

[identity profile] a-damned-liar.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Yoh slipped his hand into Aoko's protectively. Another cop, just what this place needed. "Nice to meet you too," the battle of wills had begun. "So, Aoko, what do you want to see first?" He was much happier to be with her, even if he had to deal with the idiot detective. She made him feel human and that was always a nice change of pace.

It took a little longer for Kaito to find them mainly because he was the farther away than Yoh and didn't call a taxi either. So, it wasn't actually that surprising that he arrived last.

"Oi! Aoko!" Kaito rounded the corner about this point, running over to the group, he noted with some hidden irritation that the new person was holding hands with Aoko. Openly he regarded the new guy with guarded curiosity as he stopped in front of Aoko.

"So, is this that Yoh guy you told me about?" He asked her.

[identity profile] a-damned-liar.livejournal.com 2010-11-16 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
Yoh wanted to grab her hand again as she slid away from him towards Kaito. The friend that Aoko had once drunkenly confided in him she believed was the thief she hated so much. Yoh did not know whether or not it was true, however if it was it would cause the mild dislike and jealousy he harbored towards Kaito to a wildfire of hate. How cold he do that to Aoko? Right now however, regardless of the situation and his feelings he flashed Kaito a smile, "nice to meet you, Kaito-kun."

[identity profile] nofishplz.livejournal.com 2010-11-16 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
Kaito waved her finger away with some irritation. "Oi, I am not." He told her, then he turned to Yoh and smiled back, though his also didn't reflect how he really felt just then. "Nice to meet you too!" He replied cheerfully.

Saguru noticed the territorial moment; that relatively recent and already definitely competing. He settled for smiling mildly and acting like he hadn't been paying attention to that; considering what Aoko HADN'T caught from both him and Kaito previously, catching her hand wasn't going to do much for the tangle.

Of course watching Kaito and Yoh didn't really say much...although he knew the poker face trick and if Yoh was already territorial, he was going to guess he was getting to see it in stereo.

"Well, we can't exactly stay out on a street corner like this all day - Aoko?", and he moved the subject back to Yoh's earlier question to her.

[identity profile] a-damned-liar.livejournal.com 2010-11-16 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"Sounds like a plan," Yoh said with a nod. "What are you in the mood for?" Then he laughed, "I guess there's not much of a choice." He wasn't entirely sure what French people ate, besides frog legs, but they were about to find out. "There's a place right across the street if you want to go there." Yes, he's ignoring the rest of you entirely.

[identity profile] nofishplz.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
Kaito noticed this and decided that two could play at this game. "I thought I saw a cafe on the way here, just down the street. We could go there!" He suggested.

Yes he is ignoring Yoh too. See how he likes that.

Damn you all, making him try to be the mature one. "There's ... quite a bit around the city, actually, and several places within walking distance, indoors and outdoors. Aoko?" His looks to Aoko are getting slightly more "Please help me herd the strange cats who don't like each other" desperate.

[identity profile] a-damned-liar.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Yoh was ignoring the cranky magician with the aim of furthering the latter's foul mood. Yoh gave an affirmative nod. He really didn't care either way. "Alright."

[identity profile] nofishplz.livejournal.com 2010-11-18 09:58 am (UTC)(link)
Kaito snorted derisively at both Aoko and Hakuba's comments. He wasn't surprised at Hakuba picking up on what was happening and Aoko not noticing at all. There was also a small problem with Aoko's suggestion.

"Outside? When it's raining?" Kaito deadpanned. "Now there's a good idea." Of course he knew they had awnings and umbrellas for that and that the rain was pretty light, but he still felt the need to poke at her for suggesting it.

Oh for the love of. You'd think that people who were that fussy about being jealous about Aoko would at least have the decency to not start fights around her that would probably end up upsetting her.

No reason to actually show any of that, however.

"Most of the open-air restaurants are built with umbrellas and awnings for days like this; it'd kill too much of their business if they couldn't adapt to a little rain."

[identity profile] a-damned-liar.livejournal.com 2010-11-19 04:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"Between awnings and umbrellas," Yoh shrugged, "it'll be fine." Not that he cared at all. He was just happy not to be cooking (and not to be in prison, even if he always had enough cast-points to eat like a king.)

[identity profile] nofishplz.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Who's in a bad mood?" Kaito retorted. "You're the one who needs to learn to pay more attention to things."

He wasn't about to let her forget that either.

"But, whatever. I don't have a problem with it."

At least there was some kind of ...
Well, they weren't openly fighting.

Yet.

"Alright... well, one of the hotels just around the corner has an open-air restaurant area; old local place, we could go there?"

Please, please, let food distract Kaito and Aoko before they got going.

[identity profile] a-damned-liar.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"Maybe something upset him," Yoh said helpfully. "Can't imagine what, though." He gave Kaito a look over Aoko's head, he didn't like how Kaito treated Aoko. Clearly he didn't appreciate her.

[identity profile] nofishplz.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
"I said I'm not being a grouch." Kaito replied, again completely ignoring Yoh.

Then he looked over at Hakuba. "Eh. Sounds good I guess. Let's go."

Just because he was still arguing with Aoko didn't mean they shouldn't get moving.

He did move to lead the way, although he minded it to be hanging closer to Yoh than before; he knew this song and dance well enough, and what his initial reaction had been.

At least they could argue and still keep moving.

"Best not to get in the middle - they'll get over it in a minute."

[identity profile] a-damned-liar.livejournal.com 2010-11-21 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
Yoh knew why. Because Hakuba liked Aoko too. He was another competitor. He shrugged at her.
