Character Names: Aoko (
abluechild), Yoh (
a_damned_liar)
When: Avatar plot - sometime after Aoko got dragged off to see Iroh
Location: Entrance hall - outside
Summary: Yoh attempts to teach Aoko to fire bend... which isn't exactly successful.
Ratings: PG13 just because Yoh is there
Warnings: .....Takami Yoh is his own warning, this has been mentioned. Also cute and fluff. :|
Aoko was in an even more sour mood then before. Not only had Kaito and Hakuba insisted she go back to talk to Iroh about the problem but they had picked her up and carried her to him! Where did they get off thinking they could just lift her up and take her where ever they pleased!? Not to mention it probably looked really strange to anyone that saw. They were both idiots!
And maybe-just maybe she wouldn't be so mad if their attempts had actually worked. But No. It didn't. Again, all she managed was a puff of smoke so that meant something was wrong with her. And that wasn't really a thought she liked thinking about.
But maybe Yoh was right and it had something to do with how she was being taught and had nothing to do with confidence and a proper drive or inner conflicts that she'd really rather just ignore. Part of her feared that, that was what was wrong but the other part ignored that thought and settled on the idea that she just couldn't do it.
After escaping her two best friends she made it to the entrance hall looking.. perhaps a little put out and annoyed.

Still, she took a deep breath and got ready to try again, ready to listen to whatever Yoh had to say.

"Yoh-kun, how is that going to help? I'll just get even angrier when it doesn't work."

She thought again on Kaito-thinking about every mean things he'd ever said to her. She thought about her birthday- she could still hear his stupid voice 'Aoko, are you actually a male?' And suddenly she could feel something building inside her with her anger- would it actually work this time? It had too, right?
Aoko focused on how mad that had made her until puff of gray smoke came out. Again, absolutely no luck.
"Damn it!" she turned sharply to kick the nearest hedge. "I give up! I'm going to my room." She turned abruptly on her heel to storm off.

"What?" She demanded- her tone icy. Surely, she'd misheard him- surely he knew better then to mention anything about her dad that wasn't positive. Sure he knew just how thin the ice he was standing on was. There was no way he could think for even a moment that she was angry at her dad. He knew her well enough to know that she happily accepted having to step aside and take a familiar backseat to everything going on around her- that she didn't mind it at all because Kaitou Kid and her dad's job was vastly more important then she was- and her Dad had been chasing the thief for twenty years. It was only fair that she step aside.
So it didn't make her angry at all that Hakuba and Kaito got to spend more time with her dad then she did-not at all. She was a bigger person then that.

"So don't ever say I'm mad at him again. I'm not an ungrateful little brat and it doesn't bother me at all that my friends see him more then I do. Not. At. All." One more wrong move and she will end up striking.

"Shut up. You obviously don't know how it works back home- My dad's job is very important. It's more important than I am. So back off." She gave him a nice hard warning shove.
