Oh, The Horror
Who: Alexstrasza and Temari.
When: Monday Morning.
Where: Alexstrasza's Room
Summary: Alexstrasza and Temari...have had an egg. This should be lovely considering that one has the mothering instincts of a house sparrow.
Rating: PG-13ish?
Warnings: Ninja's, Dragons, and a baby that could kick the butt of any other baby.
Temari was a light sleeper, she had to be if she wanted to survive while on missions...so when she rolled over and felt her arm brush something foreign, she looked down and saw...an egg. Now, while she was awake, she wasn't particularly swift when presented with something so odd.
Many things could have gone through her mind, but the main thing that kept recurring was 'Why the hell is there an egg in my bed?' the next thought was 'This isn't even my damned room...' Feeling a shift in the bed, her eyes slowly rose to see that of a rather oddly dressed woman. Why was she in bed with a woman? ...and an egg?
And just like that, her brain seemed to catch up with her as she rolled back out of be with a soft meep, her over-sized cotton pajamas thankfully keeping her covered as she fell loose from the blankets. Sprawled on the floor, she looked around herself, very unsure of what the hell she should be doing about now. She was weaponless and in a room with a strange HORNED woman and what she could only describe as an egg.
"I think I hit my head...that's the only explanation..." She didn't know she said it aloud, but Temari really wasn't prepared for a situation like this. Everything was wrong and strange...and so very far out of her element.

Stirring from her slumber at the sudden commotion, she opened her eyes to the sight of the room she had been assigned. Odd. Odder still was the young human girl sitting on the floor in... a very peculiar set of clothes that were foreign to her. Then... an egg on the bed... that was more of a pleasant surprise than anything else though. However, she felt the need to perhaps try to figure out how the little human found her way into her room.
She leaned over the bed to get a look at the girl, and smiled a bit and tilted her head.
"Hello there dear, are you alright?"
no subject
"I'm...not sure. I just woke up here."
Even though she was wary though, she couldn't help her curiosity. Peeking over the bed just enough to see the egg, she tilted her head slightly. Were it not for the size, she would have assumed it was an egg...but that was just simply too big.

"It seems to be a plot then. I do not remember taking my rest here, nor do I recall this."
She moved a hand to the egg, running over it gently. It looked to be one of hers, but that was impossible. Since Deathwing, she had no intention of bringing new life into the red dagonflight, as she knew well enough that the death aspect would try to get his hands on them.
"It is quite a peculiar circumstance."

Slowly moving back up to sit on the bed, she watched the womans actions closely. She obviously knew what this was, and cherished it to some degree.
Poking the egg gently, she couldn't help but notice the odd feel.
"What is it?"
no subject
She picked up the ruby bundle, aware that a dragon egg was a rarity to stumble upon, and could easily be mistaken for a mineral or odd fruit depending on the brood as they could be enmeshed in a gem--like substance, or covered with thorn-like growths. The ruby dragonflight's were of the mineral variety, making then a tad heavier than the other's. It was odd that there was only one though, typically there was a clutch.
She picked the egg up gently and offered the young girl to touch it. She trusted her not to break it.
"Would you like to hold it?"
no subject
But dragons aren't real and even if they were, how did an egg get here? Still, she moved herself a little closer, her eyes looking over the strange finding curiously. she doubted that she'd ever get a chance like this again, and even if the woman was wrong...it really was pretty.
Blinking curiously at the offer to hold it, she wanted to...but she was actually scared to drop it. She didn't even hold human children, the risk of dropping them was too great. The desire to hold it was simply too much though.
Reaching out, she carefully took the egg, a look of pure wonder on her face. "It's not what I expected it to feel like. ...How do you think it ended up here?"
no subject
She smiled as they girl held it, it was rather endearing to see one so young filled with such awe about the egg. While certainly it was rare for a mortal to see or hold one, but not all together unheard of. But this one was young, and perhaps it was a less common thing in her world. From what she had come to understand, Dragons did not exist in all worlds.
no subject
"One of yours? Is...is that what you are?" She knew that the woman wasn't human, not unless this was some odd bloodline she hadn't heard of before. If she truly was a dragon...well, she couldn't wait to tell Gokudera about this. He always seemed to enjoy exciting things.

She was usually rather preoccupied with her duties to simply enjoy immersing herself in the mundane practices of mortals, other than the select few soldier's and hero's that graced her temple for rest, or to lend aid to her cause. She could only hope that peace would soon come, so that she may once again be able to watch the races grow.

This woman was different though. She seemed...nice. "I suppose I should thank you then. I'm still not quite accustomed to....non-humans, even here."

And the egg wriggles a bit, and a crack starts to form...

It took a second for the words to register in Temari's mind. As soon as they did, her eyes widened as she looked down at the egg. The last 'birth' she'd seen involved blood and her mothers death, there weren't exactly pleasant memories associated with what most thought was a miracle.
Scooting back, she looked between the dragon and the egg, no small amount of fear in her eyes. "...Should we do something?" Something to stop it from happening.
Hope the bitty!lizard's description is okay with you?
And the shell breaks, though, much to the Dragon Queen's surprise, it was not a scaled or horned appendage that broke through, but what appeared to be a clawed, but still very human, hand. She continued to gently help the newborn as she hatched, until there was what appeared to be some mix between a lizard, Alexstrasza's human form, and the girl sitting with them. It was blonde, decorated with the same horns as the Dragon Queen, but also had little patches of ruby-red scales on it's elbows, shoulders, feet and legs.
Alexstrasza took the child in her hands, allowing it to sit on her palms and tilted her head, giving the child a curious look. The child only returned the head-tilt smiling a little, before glowing eyes started to look about the room.
"Well now, isn't this peculiar..."
Totes fine~
Pulling back as she saw a clawed hand breaking through the egg, she couldn't quite hide her curiosity. She'd never seen something hatch before, much less a dragon.
The appearance of the child was odd though. Squinting slightly, she inched forward to look at the baby. If she didn't know better, she'd almost say that it favored her a little. "Um...Is it supposed to look like that?"
no subject
It was certainly as advanced as a dragon's child. From what Alexstrasza had seen, human babies were more frail and weak after birth. She set the child down on the bed to watch her for a moment, but then smiled.
"It matters not, a child is a child, and despite her unique appearance I sense nothing wrong with her."
no subject
"What should be done with it though? There's no one here to raise it."
Because of course, a parent didn't raise their child. And it had to be the other woman's, there was no way around that. She knew it was a dragon egg ans she herself was a dragon.
no subject
She let out a sigh, it did remind her of how she missed her own children back in Azeroth. She knew they would be well without her, but she did like to at least be able to see them.
no subject
"You've raised others though?" Dragon children had to be more complicated than human children. And more dangerous. Frowning as the baby made a happy gurgle, she reached out to poke it gently.
no subject
She smiled as the girl reached over to touch the infant, which giggled and cooed and reached out to grab Temari's finger.
no subject
Tilting her head as her finger was grabbed, it was only by sheer will alone that she didn't strike out at the infant in alarm. Tensing up, she looked up to the woman...dragon...thing.
"It's touching me." Way to state the obvious.
