CHRISTMAS.

Character Names: OPEN, OPEN, OPEN.
When: All of Christmas week
Location: Under the tree in the parlor
Summary: It's Christmas, and everyone has presents to open. No, you won't get coal.
Ratings: ...G? PG? We're opening presents, for God's sake.
Warnings: Gift rap, choking hazards for children under 3.

[The tree in the parlor is massive. Its prickly branches stretch outwards and are weighed down with bright ornaments; the star at the top nearly touches the ceiling. In the fireplace nearby, a fire crackles warm and orange. Outside the window, there is snow. It's a perfect Christmas scene. And on the rug, under the tree? Those are your presents.]

[He smirking at his gift.]

These aren't so much gifts as requests. She is giving us the tools for what she wants to see us do as a request to do them.

[Gene opens up his gift from Light and smirks to reveal the Swiss Army knife that he broke while trying to pick a lock when he first arrived.]

I keep forgetting to replace mine that broke. I should thank him for replacing it and I didn't have to ask.

[Soubi looks at it carefully.]

Did he break it?

No. It's kinda weird and ironic that I would get a replacement from someone that I don't know.

[Gene gave an easy smile even though he was a little more than impressed that someone would give him a practical gift.]
