Summary: L is MacGyvering tranq darts to subdue Kuja, and Numbers 2 and 3 are reporting back to the boss.

L crouched in a chair in the med lab, very carefully mixing a number of sedatives he had found in the cabinets. If they were going to incapacitate Kuja, who was a formidable magic user, L preferred to do it with stealth. The flamboyant megalomaniac wouldn't be able to cast spells when he was asleep.

Eddie Riggs was already working on a lock that would turn the empty third floor room into a temporary prison. Once L had the right mix of chemicals that would put Kuja into a deep sleep -- but not a dead one, the difference was slight yet vital -- he would have to work on turning the syringe into a projectile device. But one bridge needed to be burned at a time, so to speak.

He had tested one of the sedatives he was mixing on his "sister," just to make sure the Author wasn't stocking useless chemicals. She was now curled up on one of the beds in the infirmary area, in a light but perfectly effective sleep.
