Geometry

[There are several shapes and formulas written on the board. A young bearded professor stands by it with a ruler. Underneath each of the formulas are a few equations to try them out on.]

[The hacker peers into the classroom before she enters, from the height of her head off the ground, she's clearly crawling. She studies the room, then the chalk board, then she grins broadly and rolls it.]

US History

[There are textbooks waiting on your desks again but this time their covers are red with white text and the inside information is far more centralized. On the board is a list of chapters and questions about said chapters. The first chapter listed is about the colonial US, then the revolutionary US, after that is the Civil War, then reconstruction, Industrial Revolution history is next, then the Great Depression, then the Second World War, and finally the 1960's.]

[James strolls into class and deposits himself at one of the desks, he eyes the board, looks at the stiff teacher, shrugs and begins to flip idly through the pages until he comes to the first chapter listed. He finds a sticky note on the front page. In the same handwriting as the teacher's it reads "Sorry about the rebellion thing!!" James cocks his head staring confusedly at the page. It takes him a more than a moment to realize what she means and for a few minutes is distinctly worried about mongols breaking into the classroom or the teacher suddenly pulling out a wand or one of those weird metal wands Muggles use to kill one another on him. Then, it hits him and he clicks his tongue at his own stupidity. He picks up his quill and squiggles under it "no problem, the 1700's were a long time ago. We've forgiven you."]

US History ((Class B))

[This was the subject that Gene had the most trouble in. History. Bored. Him. He hated reading tabloids and to him, US History was too fluid to give any solid proof other than a few letters and documents. The rest was speculation and possible outcomes.

He picked his seat in the middle of the class room and opened his book. Again, he ripped apart the text instead of looking at the material objectively. He lifted his brow and rubbed the back of his neck. He shook his head and started to look at the economic aspects of the history instead. To him, it was all about the numbers since the numbers didn't lie.]

[Sheldon plops down on his seat, his face looks like he's completely bored out of his mind and looks up at the chalk board.]

[He puts his head down once he opens the book and falls asleep.]

[Ed doesn't seem to mind. She appears at one of the lab table, rising slowly from the floor to look over the dead, pinned frog in front of her. She looks over her tools like a mad scientist before selecting a scalpel. She shouts "give my creation liiiiife!" In her most evil voice before turning scalpel to amphibian.]

Biology ((Class B))

[Once Gene enters the room, the first thing that hits his senses is formaldehyde. He puts his hand up to his nose and takes his seat way in the back of the classroom.]

It stinks!

[In front of him is the tray with the frog laying on its back. His upper lip curls up, puts on the mask and puts on the rubber gloves. The moment his scalpel cuts into the flesh, he starts to feel queasy and runs out the door toward the bathroom.]

[The smell in the lab, surprisingly, didn't get to him nor the dead frog on the pan. He poked at it with his scalpel and smirked.]

[She refuses. Refuses to dissect frogs. Sebastian had a frog! His name was...Mr. Frog.

Wood shop

[The teacher only has four fingers on one hand. That will be enough to scare off some. The band saws scream, wood creaks and moans, hammers pound out a chorus. On the faded chalkboard are instructions for several project options: baskets, furniture, and toys. The supplies are there waiting.]

[Sheldon puts on his goggles and takes the plank of wood toward the band saw. He was wearing a green coverall to protect his uniform and turned on the machine.

As the blade inched closer to his fingers, he breaks a blood pack in his hand and began screaming...]

AHHHH!!! Find my fingers!!! I cut them off!!!

[The fake blood was all over his hands and only exposes his index finger.]

Gym

[The teacher blows her whistle saying only they were playing football. Mello looks around for the ball in question, feeling very self-satisfied when he finds the bumpy, diamond shaped balls rather than the black-and-white balls used for soccer. Just more proof that the Author is an American. The teacher says something about playing touch football and Mello sighs, pulling a football from the pile. He doesn't know how to play American football. He doesn't really care either, but from what he could tell it was like rugby (which he was familiar with from his days at Wammy's) but with the players donned in fucking armor.]

[Mello pulls his hair back, securing it with a black band and mutters]

Gym ((Class B))

[Gene was never much for sports and American Football wasn't his best sport. Being older meant being more aggressive and he wasn't high school age anymore.

Gene was dressed in full gear and he was put as the running back for the defensive line since he can do a decent tackle. Providing of course that he doesn't throw out his knee like he did playing softball a few years ago or in the car accident that killed his wife. He worried about that.]

[Text books are waiting for them at their desks, each of which is marked with their names written out in Roman characters. On the board are written the words "to run" "to walk" "to dance" "to be" "to do" "to like" and beneath this last are listed several typical textbook activities: "to go on trips" "write" "art; to do/to make" "to hike" "to play; sports/music"

On the white board is another lesson marked "favorites" in both English and broken Japanese along with a bulleted list requesting your favorite animal, food, place, thing to do, and subject in school.]

[Touya enters and reads over the board. He knows most of the words and phrases written already. He recognizes his name written on the desk's place card, distinctly annoyed by how patronizing the classroom's tone is. He knows English far better than this teacher knows Japanese, that's for sure. He sits down at the desk that is far too small for him, stretching out his legs as far as he can, and waits for class to begin.]

Language (Spanish)

[If you've ever stepped into a Spanish classroom anywhere in America it's exactly the same. Maps of Spain, Mexico, and South America decorate the walls, a sombrero hangs from the doorway. Day of the Dead souvenirs are dangling everywhere. There are pictures of famous places in Spain and long perfect beaches, there are glossy photos of matadors, men in suits, and grinning children. An old TV rests on a push cart in the corner next to a small bookshelf with children's books in Spanish. And there are textbooks waiting with candy colored illustrations]

[Gene was never good at picking up languages other than the normal little phrases. Living in California should have been to his advantage but he never really took the time to pay much attention. It was time to learn it now and he shrugged at the selection.]

Well, it could be like Sesame Street....in Spanish.

Breakfast (Monday)

[Mello has piled his plate with chocolate chip pancakes, passing on the syrup (and obviously fruit) he sits down at one of the round tables and begins to eat. There aren't enough chocolate chips to his liking, but his mind is otherwise occupied. He's still thinking about L, very worried that the detective has been removed from the story.]
